It didn’t take long for a hushed calm to spread like the warmth of the turf fire through us. We found ourselves gently swaying to the subtle groove cushioning this velvet songstress; laid down by Fionnuala Kennedy on double bass and Stephanie Pawula on percussion. I looked around and saw the golden threads Teresa was spinning with her velvet alto had quickly woven us all in. This trio left us warmer, at ease and equally as enchanted.

The Project

When was the last time that you went to a gig that was all about the music? The Hunter gives you this experience by performing music that is refreshing, contemporary and authentic. The vibe is elegant and soulful. Original music with global influences, from Irish roots, American folk and blues, Mexican folk, and AfroBrazilian cultures. These influences are beautifully assimilated into their sultry sound. Hailing from Co. Kerry, France and Wales, The Hunter are sensibly based in Sligo. This band has a unique sound and attitude towards the music they play. Congas, double bass, guitar and vocals give the live performances an intimate warm feel.
