About Stephanie
Stephanie is experienced musician and percussionist with an emerging practice as a composer. Her interests are in Contemporary Classical, Brazilian, African, Cuban and Folk, Indie and improvisation.
Stephanie is part of ‘Resonance Project’ working with Echo Echo Dance Company from Derry exploring and collaborating between improvised music and contemporary dance. This three year project has been formative in leading her compositional ambitions.
She is now being offered commissions and opportunities to that regard. March 2020, Stephanie was invited by The Hawks Well to compose new a piece ‘Nothing to do’ with Miriam Needham. Her band The Hunter, are working on their second album and are featured in the short film “Ebb and Flow” by the Wild Atlantic Women Collective.
Stephanie is being commissioned by The Dock to write new work for performance this summer.
Other elements of her career involve being a producer for the Cairde Sligo Arts Festival and the Sligo Jazz Festival & Summer School annually.
